The Hisaronu Area
The Hisaronu area is one of outstanding natural beauty. The coastal scenery is particularly striking. Wooded hills descend from the high Taurus mountains to a turquoise sea. The attractive bay and beach at Oludeniz is close by and here one can enjoy safe bathing in the lovely clear waters of the lagoon or simply relax and enjoy the magnificent surroundings. The large town of Fethiye, which can be reached by bus in 20 minutes, is a fascinating mix of old and new. There is the bazaar with its narrow streets and tiny squares but also modern shops, bars and restaurants.
The Apartment
The apartment is located on the edge of Hisaronu village. Shops and restaurants are a two minute walk away and the frequent buses to Oludeniz and Fethiye can be caught just outside the apartment complex. There are 34 apartments attractively set around a shared pool of 167 square metres. The apartment has two balconies. One faces east overlooking the pool with the high mountains of the Taurus range in the background. The other balcony overlooks Hisaronu and the road to Fethiye and Oludeniz. The apartment is a fewminutes walking distance away from the start of the Lycian Way, Turkey’s first long distance walking route. The apartment is ideally located, whether ones wants to relax by the pool or explore the surrounding area.
What is there to do?
In the immediate locality there is Hisaronu village which has wide selection of shops, café’s and restaurants. Oludeniz can be reached in five minutes by bus and Fethiye in 20 minutes. The bus service is frequent and reliable so a car is not essential The deserted Greek village of Kaya is about five km from Hisaronu. From Kaya one can walk to Oludeniz along a way-marked route and enjoy wonderful views of the local coastline.
Things one can do nearby include sea bathing, trekking, horse riding, paragliding, jeep safari, quad biking, scuba diving, boat trips, waterskiing, and yachting.
There are excursions to ancient sites of historical and archaeological importance including Ephesus,Hierapolis and Pamukkale. The Greek island of Rhodes is only 90 minutes away by hydrofoil. Here you will experience a magical blend of modern and ancient Greece.
