The Villa is located within the Onurkent Site, on the hillside overlooking the sea near the villages of Gundogan and Yalikavak on the Bodrum Peninsula.There are views from the house and garden across the bay to Yalikavak. We were attracted to this villa,because of the peaceful location, uninterrupted views, gentle breeze and the opportunity to swim in either the translucent sea or communal swimming pool. The villa is short walk from a free minibus service which goes to the sea, swimming pool, cafe and shop within the site during the high season. In addition, a minibus (Dolmus) service is available to and from Gundogan. Car hire is advised if you wish to visit tourist sites on the Bodrum Peninsula.
Villa Gentle Breeze can accommodate up to six people.This villa has three bedrooms, living room with fire place, kitchen with new dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle, bathroom with shower, twin bedroom has a bathroom with shower and one double bedroom has ensuite toilet and wash basin . Mosquito nets on all windows and doors. The garden and terrace are suitable for sunbathing and dining.
THE LOCATION
We are close to typical Turkish seaside villages (Gundogan and Yalikavak) and the attractions of Bodrum . Gundogan village is only eight minutes away by car and has a sandy beach, harbour with fishing boats and yachts, water sports, a wide variety shops, supermarket, dentist, health centre, pharmacies, bars, restaurants, cafes and a market on Wednesdays with excellent fresh vegetables and fruits. You may also arrange boat trip along the coast from Gundogan.
Yalikavak has marina, beaches, quite a large market on Thursdays, restaurants, cafes, pubs, an award winning exhibition of Turkish Village Life, a restored windmill and variety of supermarkets and shops.
Bodrum, once known as Halicarnasus, is located on the Aegean sea. It has been lived in since fifth century BC. Bodrum is dominated by St Peters Castle build by the Knights of St John of Rhodes. The castle contains a fascinating museum which is interesting for all the family. Cultural events e.g. ballet and art exihibitions take place here. The castle is by the harbour from where visitors may organize boat trips along the coast and to Greek Islands. One of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World the Tomb of Mausolos and the Antique Theatre are worth a visit. In the streets near the harbour there are many opportunities for shopping, visiting bars and restaurants. At night Bodrum becomes the entertainment centre for the region with its discos and bars. Bodrum attracts visitors from all over the world.
Other seaside places which have sandy beaches to visit in the region are Gumusluk, Turgutreis, Gumbet, Bitez, Ortakent, Torba, Turkbuku, Didim and Altinkum cater for all tastes....
