Mallorca villa rental details

VILLA VALLDEMOSSA
This attractive villa is set back from the road, a short walk from the mountainous and picturesque village of Valldemossa. It has a private, swimming pool set in well-kept gardens with a large enclosed rustic area with fruit and olive trees. The privately owned villa sleeps up to ten people and has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, a fully equipped fitted kitchen and laundry. You can enjoy a BBQ on the covered terrace, with produce from the local Sunday market, and watch the sun set behind the Tramuntana mountains. Chopin once referred to Valldemossa as "the most attractive village in the world". This comes as no surprise as it is the home of the 14th century Palace of King Sance and the frescoed monastery where Chopin and George Sand stayed. The local restaurants will tempt you with a variety of food to suit all tastes and budgets. The old square, steeped in culture, has a museum devolted to Chopin.

THE VILLA
Located off the main road through Valldemossa, you turn into a long private driveway (owned by the villa) and into a further private gated drive. There is car parking for at least six cars with turning, comfortably. The villa is large and the bedrooms are generous in size. The bathrooms are exquisitely appointed and there is a further cloakroom with toilet facilites off the hall - main entrance to the villa. The kitchen is well equipped with every possible amenity you could want on a holiday.

EXTERIOR TO THE PROPERTY
Villa Valldemossa nestles in its own grounds with wonderful views of the dramatic Tramuntana Mountain range. The pool is 10m x 4.5m and has stepped access in two areas. The covered terrace and gardens are well maintained to a high standard. There is a BBQ for al fesco dining, with fuel supplied. Beyond the pawprint of the actual property, is a rustic area which belongs to the villa and you can enjoy the largeness of this - children too! There is an outdoor table tennis set and badminton. The local restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, Sunday markets and delicatessen are all part of the flavour that Valldemossa has on offer. All tastes and budgets are catered for. The locals are extremely friendly and it all adds to the atmosphere enjoyed by so many visitors. A Michelin star restaurant, if you are tempted, is in nearby Deia, an area you must visit during your stay. If you are at Villa Valldemossa during the Autumn, you can enjoy the beauty of the lemon, lime and orange trees.

villa has 2 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

Entertainment:
The villa has television. The music system will play cassettes. Recreational activities available with the villa include table tennis.

Eating & Living:
There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Marcia says: "Villa Valldemossa proved to be a wonderful setting for a complete respite from everyday life. Gorgeous gardens full of fragrant orange and lemon trees, gigantic roses and geraniums everywhere, and a lovely pool/terrace for dining and lounging. The house was bright, clean and spacious, and accommodated the seven of us with ease. Waking to glorious views of the mountains from every bedroom was amazing the beauty and serenity of the setting was rejuvenating, and we hope to return to the villa someday! I do need to mention two problems we encountered. The first was a lack of hot water on our last two days. While Peter came out and fixed it immediately, the hot water only lasted a matter of hours before it was gone again, and cold showers were taken. As we were leaving that day we did not call Peter a second time. The upstairs toilets also ran constantly and seem to need new flapper valves. Otherwise, the villa was just great! "
