BEAUTIFUL VILLA CLOSE TO BEACHES, MARINA, SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS
Beautifully furnished air-conditioned villa with shared pool, close to three stunning white sandy beaches, the old spanish square, ancient Torre, the promenade and lovely Marina.
The villa has two bedrooms with balcony, two bathrooms & a rooftop solarium, is only a short walk to the supermarket and some restaurants and ten mins to the three gorgeous blue flag beaches and the old square. It’s patio, balcony, conservatory and solarium with four sun loungers affords relaxing sunbathing and alfresco dining, with a lovely shared pool for cooling down.
Torre de la Horadada is a small town with excellent facilities in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Its wise council has refused to allow any high buildings, and created parks and play areas meaning the town has retained its Spanish character and attractive surroundings. The old town square, next to a very unusually shaped church affords eating & drinking while watching the world go by. There is a good blend of resident Spanish and English people along with some holidaymakers, making this a very friendly place. It has a good size supermarket, chemist, cash point, shops and many ice cream parlours, restaurants and tapas bars.
It is the beaches we fell in love with at Torre de la Horadada, with their exquisite white sand and clear blue sea, they boast the blue flag accreditation. Two beaches are small and cove shaped, with spring flowers lining the low cliff, and an island in the distance on the horizon. Playa de los Jesuitas is next to the ancient tower after which Torre de la Horadada was named. You can sit outside a restaurant/ bar (there is an amazing ice cream parlour!), on the palm tree lined promenade and enjoy great views of the marina and of the third beach whose white sand stretches for several miles.
Inside the villa
The ground floor comprises of a superbly equipped kitchen, including a washing machine. An American style bar opens onto the open plan lounge and dinning room, which seats six. The lounge is well equipped with a gas fire, television, including satellite tv (also in the master bedroom), DVD and a music system. A selection of DVDs and CDs are provided for your enjoyment. Air conditioning has been installed for your comfort in hot weather and for cooler winter evenings there is heating and a conservatory.
There are two large bedrooms one with a double bed and one with twin beds, either room would easily accomodate a baby cot. Additionally, there are two sofa beds in the lounge(one double, one single). Both bedrooms boast patio doors opening onto a balcony and both have fitted wardrobes finished in light oak. There are two bathrooms one on the ground floor which has a shower and the other on the first floor which has a shower and a bath.
Outside there is car parking on the drive - a car is not essential for your holiday though, as the beaches and facilities are all in walking distance and there is a local bus service.
Chairs and tables have been provided both on the downstairs patio/ inside the conservatory and on the fabulous rooftop solarium. You can also make the most of this elevated suntrap by relaxing on the four sun loungers provided and enjoy the privacy afforded by the above waist height walls.
Views & Outside the Villa
To the right the views are of the curved swimming pool, beyond which you can see the old town and the sea. To the left you can fields, which sometimes have a herd of goats with their goatherd, and new orange groves have been recently planted.
Located in a pedestrian area, car access is only for villa residents, making this a safe area for children to play. It is a quiet and friendly area.
There is easy access to the main coastal road and the motorway from Torre de la Horadada, making travelling simple and short. Within 15 minutes you can visit large bustling towns on the Mar Menor Los Alcazares, Santiago de la Ribera or the more touristy towns of Orihuela Beach and Cabo Roig. There is also a good bus network.
GOLF: located on the edge of the Costa Blanca and Murcia (planned to be the golfing capital of Spain) this really is golfing paradise! Within ten mins of the villa you can enjoy Villa Martin Golf course, Las Ramblas and Real Club CampoAmor, La Romero with the prestigious La Manga golfing resort and world class restaurants only 25 minutes drive away.
For cooling down and relaxing close to home, the large curved swimming pool and round shallow toddler pool is only 30 metres from the villa, and is set in a paved area, perfect for sunbathing. The pool complex is completely enclosed, making it perfect for young children and is gated with key access for residents only.
Casa Marada has many areas for enjoying an alfresco meal, drink or enjoying the sun. There is a patio at the front of the villa adorned with bouganvillia and both bedrooms have patio doors which open out onto a good size balcony. There is a rooftop solarium (30 square metres!) which is perfect for peacefully relaxing on the sun beds, cooking on the BBQ, dining and sipping sangrias.
