Villa 109 is in the gold start resort of El Marques, Los Gigantes on the sunny south coast of Tenerife.
With something for everyone, the villa is equally suitable for young or old, families or couples. The villas are set in landscaped gardens around facilities acknowledged to be amongst the best on Tenerife. Villa 109 is set over two floors and located in a secluded row in the El Marques resort. Externally there is a large patio equipped with easy chairs and sun loungers.
Onsite facilities include: large heated swimming pool and childrens pool which are supervised, surrounded by sunbathing area, residents bar and restaurant where evening entertainment is regularly arranged. Residents have access to a neighbouring sports centre where tennis, bowling, squash, gym and a further swimming pool are available.
The Tenerife region
The Canary Islands are made up of seven major islands, and six smaller ones on the Atlantic Coast. They have become a year round destination - due to their wonderful climate of hot summers, but not too hot, and warm, mild winters. The north of the island has a lush, tropical plant life, whilst the south is a little drier.
There is so much to do on the island - not only are there wonderful sandy beaches, and plenty to do during the day - watersports, tennis, golf for example. If you step away from toursity places, you will find that the island has a rich cultural history. There are also bars and restaurants to suit all lifestyles and palates!
Puerto Santiago / Los Gigantes area
Los Gigantes is a small town characterised by the massive cliffs which border the town to the North-West. The town is noted for the quality and variety of both its shops, restaurants and bars.
There is a lovely marina from which boat trips can be booked to see the schools of dolphins and pilot whales in the bay or just to sail alongside the huge cliffs. The water is renowned for its clarity and variety of fish and attracts scuba divers throughout the year. Diving instruction is readily available and other water sports such as deep sea fishing, paragliding, etc. Los Gigantes has a large lido with all sorts of facilities.
In addition to the items mentioned about Los Gigantes section, the area is famed for its walking routes, whether guided or by oneself. The volcanic landscapes, Canarian vegetation and spectacular gorges lend themselves to breathtaking walks suited to all levels of fitness and reception can easily book or advise on guides and routes.
There is a attractive harbour/marina area from which you can access a variety of activities ranging from dolphin and whale watching to paragliding. There is also a very well run, professional, diving and snorkelling school.
There are several quality golf courses within an hours drive, with the nearby Adeje course recently hosting the Canarian Open.Coach trips throughout the island, as well as trips to Mount Teide and the island of Gomera can be booked through reception. For the family there is a nearby water park and a zoo/aquatic park.
The town also has several Canarian bars, restaurants and shops for all ones needs.
Within walking distance of Los Gigantes is the town of Playa de LArena which has an award winning beach.
