Mondragó Cala is situated in the municipality of Santanyi. Cala Mondrago, in the south-east corner of Majorca, is considered one of the best beaches in the Balearics. Its a secluded spot eight kilometres south of the town of Cala dOr and its comparative lack of development has made it popular with independent travellers. There is a restaurant and a couple of hotels at Cala Mondrago, but for more entertainment you will have to go to Cala dOr or Santanyi. There is a bus service, but in the evenings youll need your own car or a taxi. During summer a tourist train runs from Cala dOr to Porto Petro, terminating at Cala Mondrago. The beach is part of the protected Mondrago Parc Natural, The park is open every day and is accessible from north or south. It has trails for cycling, riding and walking and you should be able to get a map from the visitor centre at the Fonts de NAlis car park, near the resort
