There are several beach bars/restaurants within a two mins stroll down the beach (open in Season). A little further down you will come to the little town of Sabinillas where there are now many more to choose from. Sabinillas hosts a street Market on Fridays and Sundays.
There are three or four supermarkets a short drive away, most stocking many English brands.
A five mins car ride , or 25 min walk along the beach/promenade will take you to the charming little port, Puerto Duquesa full of bars,restaurants,shops and cafes.
The quaint white washed villages of Casares and Benhavis are well worth a visit too.
10 mins east along the coast you will find Estapona port and town ,once a small fishing village. As you come into Estapona you will see the bull ring on the left and the lively port on your right.
The town also has a good selection of restaurants,bars and shops in its winding back streets and plazas,and has retained its Spanish charm. It has a wonderful promenade with fountains and large childrens play area.

The rock of Gibralter is only 30 mins away for those of you looking for some tax free shopping or perhaps a look at the famous apes that really do run wild higher up the rock!
