Real Spanish Living
If you want to visit real Spain and get away from it all, in a attractively restored traditional town house, with private courtyard, pool, sun terrace, have comfort and complete privacy, yet still be able to stroll to a restaurant or bar, local shops and mix with the locals, then this is the place for you! The house sleeps eight or 10, and we fell in love with it as it fulfilled so many of our holiday needs. With an extended family, this fits all the requirements as we can just stay there and experience the village, or get in the car and travel to Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Malaga, the beach, or national parks, traditonal towns and villages it offers everything. The villagers speak very little English, but are keen to help you get by. During the weekend evenings the main street is closed off and filled with tables and chairs, and the locals eat and drink and chat, its so casual and friendly. If you need a supermaket, Estepa is about five mins drive and has may shops. Our village has a few small shops and you can certainly find most things there, theres a fishmonger, small bank and cash point, and a hardware type store which seems to sell almost anything from pool inflatables to toilet seats!
Tastefully Reformed Traditional Property
The property has been really attractively reburbished, and is simple but tasteful. Downstairs has an entrance hall, lounge area with wood burner for those milder winter nights, dining area, further lounge/snug area with television and double doors out to patio. Double bedroom and twin room with bunk beds. Stunning open plan fully equiped kitchen with breakfast bar, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster. Bathroom with bath and shower, WC.
Home comforts
The house has wireless broadband and a land line with free calls to UK 01 or 02 numbers (any other calls will be charged for). There are ten large towels for use inside and out. The beds have duvets to use when necessary. The kitchen is well equiped, we think weve thought of everything - corkscrew obviously, sharp knives, tin opener.......and it is stocked with little extras such as salt & pepper, olive oil, vinegar, coffee, sugar, cling film, foil, paper towel, candles, matches and the kind of thing that you may need but dont want to think about buying - we just ask that if you finish something, you replace it - that way it should be fair on everyone! Outside there is a store room with a washing machine and the barbeque and some of the furniture. There are five sunloungers with padded cushions, two patio tables which will seat ten (padded cushions for these), and the sun furniture can be taken up to the roof terrace which is ideal for getting that all over tan!
Upstairs is a double bedroom, twin room and large lounge area with sofa. The bathroom is attractively tiled and has WC, bidet, bath and shower (window does have views of other guests getting all over tan!) There is a loft room off the top of the stairs which is completely open plan and has a double sofa bed if you wish to sleep ten (favourite room with the children for some reason!)
