Welcome to Casa Blanca
Casa Blanca is a modern three bed roomed villa with private heated pool located on the exclusive residential area of Monte Solana near Denia , Northern Costa Blanca. Set upon on a hillside it has magnificent views of the Denia coast line and valley.

Casa Blanca has many features that make it stand out from the crowd including:

The villa was built for our own use and for rental when unoccupied. Completed in 2005 it has been built to high standards and has everything we feel is required for our family of four and guests.

There is easy access to a wide range of beaches, restaurants and entertainments whilst being located in a residential location. Denia is about 15 minutes away, Javea 20 minutes . Approx 1hr drive from either Alicante or Valencia airports.

Casa Blanca is a non-smoking villa and is not suitable for wheelchairs (see the photos!). Car hire is essential.

Accommodation
The villa sleeps six people with the sleeping accommodation comprising of a double room with en suite bath and shower and two twin rooms with a separate bathroom and shower.

There is a large lounge with open plan kitchen. The lounge leads out to the veranda where the views are at their best. A single flight of non-slip steps lead down to the 10m x 5m heated swimming pool and barbeque area.

The pool is normally heated to 28C from the start of May to the end of September. There is no extra charge for this. Outside of these dates the pool heater can be optionally requested for an extra £100 per week. This means that the pool can be used during months when it would normally be too cold but it does cost extra.

The pool has roman steps leading down to the shallower end which is about 1.5m deep. This then gently shelves to about 2m deep at the other end.

The villa is air conditioned throughout providing both cold and warm air as required. There is no extra charge for this. A utility room contains the washing machine and hot water system.

Outside there is a carport suitable for most sizes of car including people carriers. There is a lockable sliding gate and side gate. Steps lead down to the front door.

There is a terraced garden with various fruit trees and plants. The terraces are mostly gravelled with a grass section by the pool. A path leads round the villa down to the pool and stone chimney barbeque.

A further set of steps lead down to a gravelled area with hedging. A path leads all the way up and around the villa back to the front door.

Equipment
Television:

Casa Blanca has a wall mounted flat screen television with a multi-satellite television system and a DVD/CD player.

We have installed an LCD Flat Screen television on a wall mounting that allows it to be pulled out and angled to suit but be put flush against the wall when not in use. Underneath the television there is shelving for the connected multi-satellite television system, DVD/CD player and Internet access point.

There are many English speaking channels including recent films, live sports, BBC World, SKY News and Euronews. Be warned that there is no access to most Sky, BBC and Itelevision channels.

We would have loved to provide BSkyB channels but this is not possible without a 2.5m dish in the garden. Even then reception is limited and after 9pm can be non-existent. Beware of other villas offering BSkyB as its likely to be a disappointment.

DVD/CD Player:

The DVD/CD player plays all commercial DVDs and CDs. We provide some DVDs for clients use and clients are welcome to bring their own DVDs.

The player is also able to read DVDs and CDs that contain computer data such as mp3 sound files and video files such as mpg and divx movies.

Internet Access:

We have linked Casa Blanca to a broadband system that provides our Internet access. The access point in the lounge underneath the television and has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity as well as normal CAT5 cable access. The system is rated at 1Mbits although throughput can vary according to other users in the area.

This Internet access is available to our clients at no extra charge although you have to provide the computer, usually a laptop!

Instructions on its use will be provided to clients upon booking. If you have a Wi-Fi card that you normally use to access the Internet then you will be given instructions on how to configure this to use our Wi-Fi port. If you use a normal CAT5 RJ45 cable then this can be simply plugged in to one of the free ports on the switch. A 3m cable is provided in this case.

Using the Internet on the veranda during the evening with a glass of wine and taking in the views is certainly a more relaxing way of keeping in touch with email and the like!

Telephone:

No telephone is provided at the villa but users of Skype will get good service using the Internet connection (this is the system we use and recommend). Obviously this requires you to bring your own laptop set up for Skype use. Refer to www.skype.com for details if this is new to you.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double,2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. This room gives up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

General:
villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

Entertainment:
The villa has television. The music system will play.

Eating & Living:
There is room for 6 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
