Cave house in Cortes de Baza, Granada, Spain
Unusual cave home, attractively restored and fully modernised, in the scenic traditional Spanish village of Cortes de Baza. The cave home is carved from rock and they maintainroughly the same temperature all year round between 16 and 19 degrees celsius. The accommodation is refreshingly cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter. For those of you that like a roaring fire, there is a large wood burner in the lounge. Exclusive private swimming pool measuring 4m wide x 10m length. There are steps leading into the pool at shallow end starting at 0.75m depth gradually sloping to 2m depth at deep end. Water slide at deep end. Ideal for experienced swimmers and young children alike. New non-slip tiling installed around the swimming pool area in April 2011. Note that the pool is not heated so it is kept covered up in the winter months. Large terrace area with rustic style sunshade at one end of the pool and barbeque at other end. Good location for daytrips, walking or lazing by the pool. Within walking distance of a number of tapas bars where local beer with tapas is cheaper than coastal resorts at 1.20 Euros average

Bathroom One: Ensuite off bedroom 4. Spacious. Extremely large shower / bath. WC and basin.
Bathroom Two: Off lounge area. Spacious. Shower, WC and basin.
Lounge area: Two settees facing each other. Television with DVD player. Bring your own DVDs as television only has Spanish channels not English. Wood burner (a small supply of some logs will be provided however if continued use is required during the winter, this can be obtained locally for a small charge). Assorted small table and chairs.
Kitchen / Diner. Typical Spanish rustic style. Built-in cupboards and wine bar. Stainless steel double bowl sinks. Gas oven and hob (Calor gas), mIcrowave oven, large fridge / freezer, kettle, toaster and washing machine.
Other information
Take advantage of the cheap midweek flights being offered by the budget airlines. Ryanair fly regularly into Almeria (90 mins away and Murcia 150 mins away). Easyjet and Monarch fly regularly into Almeria (90 mins away), Malaga (140 mins away) and Murcia (150 mins away) . Ryanair used to fly into Granada (closest airport 70 mins away) however they have currently stopped flying there. This may change in due course.
