This white village villa gives you the opportunity to experience the real Andalucia, with peace, quiet and fabulous views to the sea over the olive and avocado groves.
You do not need a car for this property as you can travel from the airport to the village by taxi. All facilities are provided locally.
Villa Conchi is centrally located if you wish to enjoy ambling around the village but is large enough to give you privacy in the house and roof terrace if you want to get away from it all
Located in a quiet area, you can see and hear the church bells in the main square.. It is only fiveminutes walking distance from the local swimming pool, restaurants, shops , bars and supermarkets.
If you want to swim there is a new village pool and the local Hotel Balcon, outdoor pool and bar area just a short stroll away. Entrance to this is by a three euro day pass which gives you multiple entry, The pool has wonderful views down to the sea and you can hire sun loungers There is a bus down to the coast three times a day. This is a 30 minute drive to the beach in Torre del Mar and there is also the beach at Torrox Costa also 30 minutes drive away.
Competa is also popular with walkers, and there are horse riding stables and mountain biking for the more active.
One of the nicest things about Competa is the range of gourmet restaurants. They make for a great evening out, and are so popular it is best to reserve for the evening at lunchtime. There are also lots of bars including one with large screen satellite television for sporting events.
The house has been sympathetically restored in Moorish style to give a modern but characterful holiday home.
From the large sun terrace, your views over the village, mountains, church tower and Mediterranean sea are superb. Situated to benefit from the rising sun in the morning right through to the setting sun in the evening many guests have said the roof terrace is the "jewel in the crown." A great place for alfresco dining day and night.
With a gas BBQ, kitchen sink, dining tables and chairs, eating on the roof during the day and night is a great experience. Whilst it can get really hot, we have provided a large cane pergola, hexagonal awning and large sun umbrella to provide you with the necessary shade. Large swing seat and sun loungers, complete your relaxation experience.
The roof terrace is fully lit and also has fairy lights and low level lighting for ambiance in the evening
There is a large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge, located on the floor below the roof terrace with airy four meter+ ceilings. There are two sets of patio doors overlooking the mountain view .
The kitchen is fully equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, second fridge (for cool drinks) , kettle, coffee maker and toaster..
A washing machine is provided.
There are four double bedrooms and two bathrooms in the property.One bathroom has a shower and one a bath.
There are two sitting rooms. One has DVD / video player, . We provide a lot of English books and Dvd/videos.
The other sitting room is for chatting, and relaxing as it is an internal patio with large french windows overlooking the street.
The house has been renovated in Moorish style to maintain its character with deep colours. Arabic artifacts and pictures. The floors are all tiled in geometric patterns
