Location
Villa Harmony occupies an enviable position, midway between the characterful town of Lagos and the delightful beachside resort of Luz just five minutes drive to either.
Lagos is a relaxed and charming town offering a great selection of restuarants; the biggest concentration of which is found in the pedestrianised streets. Lined with open-air cafes, the main square of Praca da Republica is the best place to indulge in a cool drink and a spot of people watching. There is often lots of street entertainers as well; everything from magicians to clowns and living statues.
Proud of its history, Lagos played an important part in the Age of Discovery and Henry the Navigator had his ships built here. It was also home to some of the earliest slave markets. Its rich, long history ensures that there are plenty of buildings and historic sites worth visiting; the governor's castle and the church of St Sebastian being just two of them.
The beach village of Luz retains much of its traditional charm but also has a bustling cosmopolitan atmosphere. Its beach 'Praia da Luz' is one of Algarve's finest with fine, white sands and warm turquoise waters. It is well served by a few beachside cafes and water sports are on offer in the summer. Its colourful sandstone cliffs provide attractive cliff top walks and at one end are the locally renowned 'rocha negra' or black rocks; evidence of ancient volcanic activity.

Lagos Zoo - Set in lovely landscaped gardens with exotic plants, this zoo contains 250 different animals and offers the chance to get close to a variety of species. There is an educational farm, souvenir shop and restaurant. Located between Sao Joao and Bensafrim.
Slide and Splash - One of Europe's largest water parks that aims to keep you busy for a whole day with its range of plunging and gentle slides, swimming swimming pools and lazy ring river. Approximately 25km from Lagos.
