Villa Costa - Location
LOCATION
Villa Costa is located in Santo Antonio, within ten minutes’ bus ride to Funchal town centre, the Praia Formosa Beach is within ten minutes drive. The region is an oasis of peace and quiet. The sea with its translucent blue water and perfect island temperatures. Should you wish to dine out and watch the local artists perform the Folklore dance, you may try one of the restaurants of the hotels in the vicinity or you may also taste the local and international cuisines from the other restaurants along the coastline, all within ten minutes’ drive from the villa. In case you decide to have a quiet dinner at the villa, the local supermarket will provide you with your fresh vegetables and meat. Public transport is within two minutes’ walk.
The Villa
The villa which has been newly built, is 300 m2 in area. It is located in a safe and quiet area, yet near essential facilities. It comprises of three bedrooms which can accommodate up to six persons, the living/dining room, kitchen, two 1/2 bathrooms/toilets, two balconies and a veranda overlooking the garden with breathtaking mountain views. On the ground floor are the following: -A fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster, kitchen utensils and crockery. -A large living and dining room with television, radio-CD. The living room opens up onto the patio, and out to the garden -One guest bathroom with toilet and washing machine On the first floor are the following: -Two bedrooms with double bed with French sliding doors leading onto the balcony for your to appreciate the wonderful view -One bedroom with twin single beds also leading onto the balcony -One onsuite bathroom with hydro shower, bide and toilet – One communal bathroom with corner bath, bide and toilet. Other details Bed linen and towels are provided. Airport pick up can be arranged as well as grocery shopping before arrival.
Things to Do
-Swimming or soaking up in the sun. (10 mins drive to the beach) -Water sports (equipment can be hired on the beaches) -Diving, Snorkelling – Boat trips (Dolphin and whale spotting) -Cycling along the coast (bicycles may be rented) -Horse riding (20km away) -Go to the casino (1.5km metres) -Go to the night club (2km) -Dine out at the Hotel Restaurants and watch the local artists perform -Shopping in Funchal which is a 10-minute bus ride away or in Madeira Shopping Centre which is a 10-minute bus ride away. -Sightseeing : .In the West, experience standing on Europes second highest sea facing cliff, visit the natural rock swimming pools in Porto Moniz and amazing waterfalls on the breathtaking cliff sides of this wonderful island, visit the fishing village of Camara de Lobos. In the East, visit the traditional A shaped Maderian houses and appreciate the flora around the island. Take the cable cars to Monte and visit and the Monte Palace Gardens, then brave the toboggan ride down to Funchal centre or visit the Botanical gardens, the bird park and the orchid gardens. There is much much more the island has to offer.
