Cobh Holiday House at East Beach
A Victorian Merchants house in the centre of Cobh (formerly Queenstown). Available for stays of three days or longer. Rates tailored to party size and stay duration. Please use the availability calendar to price your stay.

Cobh is located in the centre of Cork Harbour, less than 35 minutes drive from Cork Airport (29 km) and 25 minutes from the Centre of Cork City (23 km). It has all the facilities for a self catering holiday within walking distance, including a supermarket, bakery, off-license, restaurants and pubs.

The accommodation is arranged over the upper three floors of this property. The living accommodation is on the first floor. There is a attractively proportioned reception room and a dining room which seats 10. Both are comfortable South facing rooms with harbour views. The kitchen is a fully equipped with a range style gas cooker, american fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc. There is also a breakfast room, a cloakroom and a laundry room with 20lb capacity washing and drying machines.

There are five bedrooms (one king and four twin), all en-suite, with showers (2 have bathtubs) on the second and third floors. Four of the bedrooms have harbour views.

The garden at the rear is approx 30m deep and is arranged over three terraces into the hill. It is a suntrap all day. The highest terrace is a deck with garden furniture, ideal for an al fresco meal, weather permitting.

The Property has a Four Star Failte Ireland rating.

NOTE: There are no extra charges for Heating, Electricity, Linen.

Pricing is based on a base occupancy by four guests in two bedrooms. There is a supplement for additional guests as more rooms are made up, up to a maximum of ten guests in five bedrooms.

Book stays from three days to two weeks. There is no fixed turnover day.

For two week rentals the rate includes a cleaning service, towel and linen change.

The house faces onto Cork Harbour with Harbour views from the Reception, Dining rooms and 4 of the 5 Bedrooms. The Garden and Deck at the rear of the house are terraced into the hill and have limited Harbour Views. WiFi internet access is available for guests via their own laptops.

Julia says: "Being a party of 10 we were very pleased with the size of the house, especially the ensuite bathrooms for each bedroom. Unlike some holiday properties there is also an adequate number of plates, cutlery etc. for our party size and the ten seater dining table is brilliant! The house is very centrally located so the older members of our party didnt have to walk too far to the restaurants and bars and there is a lovely view of the harbour from most of the windows. The beds are very comfortable and the house is well furnished with tea, coffee, milk and bread being provided on our arrival.. As our flight arrived early we did have to stand in the rain for an hour ourside the house waiting for the keys to arrive and when they did turn up there were only three keys, which caused a slight problem given the size of our party, but overall we were delighted with the house and would definitely book it again.. "
