The Apartment
This elegant first floor apartment overlooks a recently renovated central courtyard. With parquet flooring throughout it comes fully equipped. The sitting room features a period fireplace and overlooks the central courtyard, filling the room with natural light. It has been sympathetically decorated to give a real feel of Paris and Montmartre and includes paintings from the nearby Place du Tertre. The two bedrooms ( a twin and the second, king size and en-suite) have again been decorated to provide a truly Parisian experience and the ample storage is provided by authentic French armoires.
Central Paris / 18th / XVIIIe - Montmartre Area
Montmartre is one of the most vibrant and exciting areas of Paris to visit. The variety that the area has to offer is incredible with the youthful energy provided by the quintessentially Parisian bars and cafes as well as the historic feel given by the ever present reminders of Montmartres bohemian past.The most famous attraction in Montmartre is the Sacre Coeur basilica which is located at the highest point in Paris. It is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is not only a stunning piece of architecture, but also offers stunning wonderful views of the entire city from its steps. The apartment is only one street away from the famous rue Lepic which offers a wide range of boulangeries, traiteurs, charcuteries and patisseries. For the art aficionado the possibilities are diverse with Lespace Salvador Dali, a museum of Dalis work and the Place du Tertre where the street artists ply their trade. The place of Montmartre(where the pioneers of Impressionism used to meet) in the history of the arts, is exemplified by those interred in the cemetery, Edgar Degas, Alexandre Dumas, Emile Zola, Offenbach and Russian ballerina Vaslav Nijinsky with the ballet shoe grave to name a few. There is also a range of antiques boutiques as well as the wonderful Marche Saint-Pierre, the six floor fabric bazaar. The transport infrastructure is excellent, with all Metro lines a walking distance away from the apartment, enabling you to visit all of the attractions of Paris within 15-30 minutes of leaving the front door.

Paris is a attractive and historical city, where you tread in the footsteps of the likes of Monet, Manet and Toulouse Lautrec. Top attractions include
the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre Coeur, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Moulin Rouge. The Place du Tertre is a square in Paris XVIIIe arrondissement. Only a few streets away from Montmartres Basilica of the Sacré Cœur and the Lapin Agile, it is the heart of the citys elevated Montmartre quarter. With its many artists setting up their easels each day for the tourists, the Place du Tertre is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the mecca of modern art at the beginning of the 20th century, many penniless painters including Picasso and Utrillo were living there. The palais du Louvre, on the Right Bank of the Seine is a former royal palace. This imposing building is home to one of the worlds largest art galleries/museums, the collection including the iconic Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. The Orangerie - the art gallery in the Tuileries housing the breathtaking Monet 360 degree wall paintings.The Musée dOrsay is a museum in on the left bank of the Seine, housed in the former railway station, the Gare dOrsay. It holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1915, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography, and is probably best known for its extensive collection of impressionist masterpieces by such painters such as Monet, Degas, Renoir, and Cezanne.
