Welcome!
Chassigneux is a former farm, over 300 years old set on top of a hill amidst totally peaceful pastureland with some breathtaking views over the Morvan Park. The perfect setting to just sit back, relax and enjoy everything Burgundy has to offer. The Gite is just as suitable for groups of upto six people as it is for a couple looking for a romantic getaway.
The Gite is attractively renovated barn that sits apart from the main farmhouse into the side of the hill and can sleep up to six people. It is available to rent for holidays all year round. On a weekly or nightly basis. The friendly, Scottish owners who live on site in the main farmhouse can offer advice on places to visit, restaurants, events etc. We will also provide a private taxi service within a 10km radius of Chassigneux. A welcome hamper containing essential items for when you first arrive awaits you and you can also try the fresh, organic eggs.
Do not think that Burgundy is reserved solely for wine connoisseurs and lovers of art and architecture. Visitors have a choice of activities as varied as the region's landscapes. With so much to see and do in this year-round destination, one stay is never enough! The so called 'Land of Art and Good Living', Burgundy offers you prestigious vineyards and wines, historical cities, famous sites (many World Heritage), golf and an interesting boating and walking network, all with in a well preserved natural setting.
For your use and enjoyment we have supplied: Reading Material, Games, Maps, Guidebooks, Walking route maps and Brochures about the local area.
The Magny-cours race track is also only 60kms away for the petrol heads among you, which holds events such as F1 Grand Prix, World Super Bike and the 24hr Bol d’or endurance race.
