A wonderful holiday can be spent at La Grange either seeing the numerous sights of the Drone and Dordogne Valleys; participating in any of the various sports in the area; or simply lazing around and enjoying the rural life and excellent food and wines which make this region so popular.
Accommodation
There is a massive open-planned living room which has a dining table and comfortable chairs. This is best described as 'baronial' as you can look up to the roof beams and there is a chandelier. The original barn cow-ties act as a divider to the modern well-equipped kitchen. From here is a french door to the side terrace and patio.
Off the main living room you will find a smaller modern kitchen which can be used for breakfasts and a large second living room with a large fireplace. This is tiled and has recently been refurbished to provide a large and comfortable room with settees, sofa bed, chairs, HiFi, television and video. There are two large windows one to the front and one overlooking the side garden. There are two bedrooms off this room. 'The Green Bedroom' has a double room with en-suite bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and washbasin. This overlooks the South terrace to the back of the house. Ther is also a twin room (The Pink Bedroom) which is through a small archway. This has a patio door onto the South terrace. A separate toilet and a bathroom with shower, washbasin and washing machine are next to this room.
The second double bedroom is up a wooden staircase and off a small landing which has a balcony overlooking the main living room. At the other end of the landing is the last twin bedroom with two single beds. Both these bedrooms are within the eaves of the house and have exposed beams and roof windows. The bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin is in the middle.
