Elena cottage rental details

Rose Cottage
A large cottage with wonderful wonderful views of village below and the Stara Planina mountains beyond,overlooking pool. Fall in love with attractive Bulgaria just as we did. We are located in a quaint farming village but close to Elena which is a cosmopolitan town restored in the style of the Revival period and popular with tourists of all nationalities.
A car is essential to explore the surrounding area ,full of waterfalls,rivers ,monuments and monasteries.
The village of Bebrovo is 14kms from the cosmopolitan town of Elena popular with tourists and has its own bar and general store stocking essential food supplies. In the summer there is often music and dancing in the bar.
Elena has a plethora of traditional mehanas serving bulgarian cuisine.
Veliko Turnovo is our nearest city and is about 40 mins in car. It has cobbled stone streets with lovely historical buildings good resturants and night life. It has its own walled fortress and the houses are built on the hillside outlining the Yantra river.
We have many other attractive villages and towns to see from the revived village of Etara to Tryavna where local crafts are being made and sold. Shipka Pass is also a attractive drive with a stunning Russian Church.
The area we live in is full of tranquil beauty.

The villa itself is furnished to a very high standard and, with the wood-burning stove, is very cosy on cooler evenings. Paul and Caroles dogs, Bonnie and Rosie, also made themselves at home with us, making us feel all the more at home. Paul and Carole were very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of advice on things to do and see in the area which was invaluable. They even had a splash about in the pool with us on one particularly memorable evening."
